Reaction of Passive HaemAgglutination (RPHA) is based
on registration of aggregates formation of sheep
erythrocytes sensibilised by antibodies or antigens in
the presence of detecting antigens or antibodies. At
negative result the compact residue looking as a dark
dot is formed on the bottom of the platewell. At
positive result the net of agglutinate is formed looking
as a vague, less contrasted spot.
The
mostly wide spread RPHA kits in Russia are the kits for
syphilis diagnostics and antibodies for different
bacterial and virus antigens.
“E-Lab RPHA” program functions are
analogous to latex program, but specially elaborated
algorithms of calculations are applied in it.
