In the case of isoserological
analyses (blood groups definition) the agglutination of
patient’s blood erythrocytes is registered in the
presence of specific antibodies, and for each sample it
is necessary to perform several reactions with
antibodies to group antigens A and B, antigens for
Rhesus factor. The specially elaborated calculation
method is applied in this case.
The main advantage of
video-digital approach for blood groups definition is
documentation and objectivation of results with saving
of primary images, rechecking the conclusion about (on)
presence or absence of agglutination by several methods
inside the program. All this arises the responsibility
of the operator and allows to minimize the probability
of errors connected with “human factor”.
